The tree problem is so surprise that I think both narrator and Don Anselmo don't beware of this the conflict happen. Don Anselmo didn't tell the author much about the trees problem. In fact, my opinion is Don Anselmo didn't high that on purpose, he just simply didn't tell that. What I think is he was a little bit don't want to reveal this secret because he wanted to sell his house and he might think this is a huge trouble for the customer. In another perspective, the way he talked with the lawyer - author, the way he dressed and how they called him a gentleman, his thought must be archaic because he is the oldest and powerful man in the village. Talking about a village, I always have the thought in my mind that villager don't have much education or knowledge about things. That's why, he didn't tell the writer about the uncertain problem because no one mentioned about that and why did he have to tell things that no one asked or wanted to know. After all, he is an old man and he is pretty slow with also slow mind that doesn't want to change to be more modern. He wanted to keep all the rules and believe in it like a real gentleman.
